Entrepreneurship for Youth
This course is designed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs, youth workers, and young people with the necessary knowledge and tools to become successful entrepreneurs. With the support of 5 different partners from Europe, this online course on entrepreneurship offers everything that you would need to kick-start your entrepreneurship journey.
The course provides systematic information and guidance on the main steps of starting an entrepreneurial endeavor in the four selected sectors (social, green, digital, and cultural). You can expect to learn the basics of entrepreneurship and its four different sub-categories.
2020 marked the beginning of unprecedented health, economic, social, and cultural crises caused by the spread of COVID-19 throughout Europe and the whole world.
The situation that has arisen placed new challenges in the socio-economic and cultural sectors. The economic recession has put unemployment rates high. The consequences of the lockdowns across Europe have created gaps in the education and training of young people and placed significant obstacles to their entry into the labor market. However, the creative minds of young people and entrepreneurs have found ways to cope with the current situation and create positive value out of it.
The project Young Entrepreneurship in Time of Crisis (YETC) aims to facilitate youth activism and foster an entrepreneurial mindset through networking, sharing best practices, and developing innovative NILF tools. The project results will help young people overcome the uncertainty caused by the unstable socio-economic situation across Europe and create a positive value by filling the gaps and promoting new entrepreneurial endeavors. The YETC project addresses the needs of young people and youth workers in finding the realization of their ideas and initiatives through entrepreneurship and active participation.
Digital Entrepreneurship for Youth
The course "Digital Entrepreneurship for Youth" is designed to provide aspiring young entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the digital business world.
Through a series of comprehensive chapters, participants will gain an
understanding of digital entrepreneurship, develop key competencies and
skills, explore the digital market, learn how to turn their dreams into
actionable plans, create effective business strategies, launch their
ventures, and discover channels for continuous improvement.
Want to volunteer? Decolonise first!
Are you thinking about volunteering abroad?
Critically explore your reasons for volunteering abroad and start a reflection process so that you can identify colonial legacies in International Voluntary Service and contribute to deconstructing them.
The course intended for potential international volunteers but also youth workers accompanying them in this process or organising international exchange activities.
Do
the course on your own or make it more fun and link up with a buddy
and go through this learning process together.
This MOOC explores the complex topic of colonization, decolonization and how colonial mindset (referred in the course as coloniality) still influences society and international volunteering specifically.
Through this MOOC we want to create a space for (potential) volunteers to get familiar with these concepts and reflect on their motivation and/or experiences as international volunteers. The aim is to initiate the deconstruction of the colonial mindset which is still present in many IVS contexts. The MOOC wants to encourage volunteers to examine their motivations to do international volunteering and look critically at the International Voluntary Service projects that organisations offer.
This online course is meant to be complementary to other
pre-departure courses that IVS organisations organise or as an
introductory course for people interested in international volunteering
especially in a global context. You can do this course on your own but
it's also fun to do it together with someone else. Complementing this
online course with some in-person conversations can be really
enriching.
